Recruits
A personal, face-to-face invitation to donate makes a difference. One of the most common reasons people
give blood is because they were asked or recruited to donate. Blood drive recruiters and sponsors should
be positive and enthusiastic when approaching potential donors. Give prospective donors complete
information about the donation process, and about the date, time and location of the blood drive and
about the impact of their lifesaving donation.

Informs
Blood drive recruiters and sponsor groups create awareness about up-coming blood drives as well as the
basic criteria to be an eligible blood donor. The Blood Center’s Mobile Marketing Specialist will provide
each sponsor group with a variety of promotional and recruitment tools to aid in the process of organizing
the blood drive and recruiting donors. Sponsor groups are asked to schedule appointments for donors and
to help the day of the drive.
