Mobile Sponsorship

Each year, over 1,400 businesses, schools, churches, and community groups sponsor mobile blood drives in Iowa. To meet the blood needs of the 49 Iowa hospitals we service, it is necessary for us to see about 2,100 donors each week. In order to collect a consistent supply of blood, The Blood Center of Iowa strives to schedule blood drives four to six months in advance. The Blood Center's professional Mobile Marketing Specialists work closely with volunteer sponsor groups to help them schedule their blood drives and organize a successful event. The Blood Center especially needs sponsor groups to organize mobile blood drives during holidays and summer months. These times of the year are the most difficult to maintain an adequate blood supply.

Whether your organization is large or small, you can help by sponsoring a mobile blood drive. We need a minimum of 25 donors signed up in advance. We schedule mobile blood drives Monday through Saturday.
